Who are you, FlatPackAssemblyMan?

Brendan My name is Brendan Gallagher. I have 20 years experience working within the construction industry. For the last 5 years I have been working freelance, assembling flat pack furniture for private and commercial clients.

What if the furniture is damaged?
I will inspect the contents of your flat pack before and during assembly, and will let you know if anything is damaged or missing. We can then decide how to proceed.

Do you have a minimum call out fee?
No. My hourly rates are £20 for the first hour and £15 per hour thereafter in London.

How much room do you need to build my furniture?
You will normally need a flat area such as the floor that is the size of the finished furniture laid on its back plus a working area of at least 2 feet. The area should be as close as possible to the final position of the finished item. Larger pieces of furniture like cupboards and chests may not withstand being dragged over carpets.

How long will it take to build the furniture.
The time to build your furniture will depend on how complicated it is. Sometimes bigger straighforward items like a wardrobe can be assembled more quickly than smaller but more complicated items.
